Article 308 of the French Code of civil procedure

It is up to the judge to admit or reject the disputed deed in the light of the evidence available to him.

If necessary the judge orders, on the forgery, all necessary investigative measures and is proceeded with as in matters of verification of handwriting.

Il appartient au juge d’admettre ou de rejeter l’acte litigieux au vu des éléments dont il dispose.

S’il y a lieu le juge ordonne, sur le faux, toutes mesures d’instruction nécessaires et il est procédé comme en matière de vérification d’écriture.
