A Secretary General is responsible for the operation and coordination of the departments under the authority of the Chairman.
The staff of the AMF is made up of public-sector employees under contract and private-sector employees. Under conditions laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat, public employees may be placed with the Autorité des marchés financiers in a position provided for by the regulations governing them.
The provisions of Articles L. 2111-1, L. 2141-4, L. 2311-1 and L. 2312-1 to L. 2312-5, L. 2321-1, L. 2322-1 to L. 2322-4, L. 4523-11 and L. 4523-12, L. 4523-14 to L. 4523-17 and L. 4524-1 of the Labour Code shall apply to the staff of the AMF. However, these provisions may be adapted by decrees of the Conseil d’Etat.
The AMF Board establishes the general framework for remuneration of AMF staff. The Secretary General shall report to the Board on the management of the departments in accordance with the conditions laid down by the Board.
