Article L711-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The foreign national shall execute the removal decision against him/her without delay or, where he/she has been granted a period of voluntary departure to comply with a decision requiring him/her to leave French territory, before this period expires.

L’étranger exécute la décision d’éloignement dont il fait l’objet sans délai ou, lorsqu’il bénéficie d’un délai de départ volontaire pour satisfaire à une décision portant obligation de quitter le territoire français, avant l’expiration de ce délai.
