Financial aid is awarded within the framework defined by the agreement between the government of the French Republic and the government of the Federal Republic of Germany on support for film co-production projects, signed in Cannes on 17 May 2001, amended by the agreement in the form of an exchange of letters signed in Paris on 6 October 2014 and 28 April 2015.
