Complementary aid is granted and its amount determined taking into consideration the production budget of the work and its means of financing, as well as the appropriateness of the production expenses mentioned in article 712-5 to the nature of the project and the economic conditions of the production.

Article 712-7 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The granting of additional aid is subject to the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty, in particular those provided for in Chapter I and Article 54 of Section 11 relating to aid schemes for audiovisual works.
