Selective financial aid is granted in addition to the aid for world cinema films granted prior to production in application of the provisions of article 712-1.
To be eligible for additional support, works must meet the following conditions:1° They must be co-produced by at least three companies, one of which is established in France and two of which are established in States located in the African, Caribbean and Pacific zone. Complementary aid is awarded to the production company designated as the beneficiary by agreement between the co-production parties. This company must be established in a country located in the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific zone.
The work must be the subject of production expenditure in the territory or territories of the States located in the African, Caribbean and Pacific zone in which the companies involved in the co-production are established, for an amount at least equal to the amount of the additional aid.The following are considered as production expenses1° Remuneration and social security contributions paid to authors, performers and directing and production staff;2° Acquisition of…
Complementary aid is granted and its amount determined taking into consideration the production budget of the work and its means of financing, as well as the appropriateness of the production expenses mentioned in article 712-5 to the nature of the project and the economic conditions of the production.
The granting of additional aid is subject to the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty, in particular those provided for in Chapter I and Article 54 of Section 11 relating to aid schemes for audiovisual works.
