Automatic financial support for the promotion of cinematographic works abroad gives rise to the allocation of investment grants.
The sums representing the automatic financial aid to which foreign sales companies are entitled are calculated on the basis of commercial representation in cinemas, making available to the public on subscription on-demand audiovisual media services and festival selection of the cinematographic works mentioned in 1°, 2°, 3° and 6° of article 721-6.
Sums are calculated on the basis of the commercial representation in cinemas of the cinematographic works mentioned in 1°, 2°, 3° and 6° of article 721-6 in the countries and territories mentioned on the list annexed to this book. This is calculated as follows: – 0.70 per admission for the fraction of the total number of admissions less than or equal to 50,000;– €0.35 per admission for the fraction of the total number of admissions greater than 50,000 and less than or equal to 100,000;– €0.15 per admission for the fraction of the total number of admissions greater than 100,000 and less than or equal to 200,000;– €0.05 per…
The sums calculated are increased by 10%:1° For original French-language works;2° For works that are the first or second feature-length cinematographic works of their directors.The increases provided for in 1° and 2° cannot be accumulated.
Sums are calculated on the basis of the cinematographic works mentioned in 1°, 2°, 3° and 6° of article 721-6 being made available to the public on one or more subscription on-demand audiovisual media services accessible in at least two foreign countries during the calendar year preceding that in which the calculation is made.
