Companies whose audiovisual works have been co-produced or pre-purchased with companies established abroad are not eligible for direct subsidies for the promotion of these works abroad in the language of the co-producer’s or purchaser’s country.
These provisions do not apply to production and distribution companies when they can provide proof of a distribution contract. In this case, they may benefit from direct allocations to cover the promotional expenses mentioned in 6° to 9° of article 722-11.
Companies that have received financial assistance from the European Union for the dubbing, subtitling or distribution of an audiovisual work may not benefit from direct allocations to cover the same promotional expenses.
