The rules relating to the approval or classification of certain facilities and organisations by the Assembly of Corsica are set out in II of article L. 4424-32 of the General Local Authorities Code, reproduced below:
“Art. L. 4424-32 of the General Code of Territorial Authorities.
II – By way of derogation from the second paragraph of article L. 121-1 of the Tourism Code relating to the distribution of competencies in the field of tourism, the Assembly of Corsica determines the procedural rules relating to the examination of applications for approval or classification of the following facilities and organisations:
a) Hotels and tourist residences ;
b) Camp sites;
c) Holiday villages;
d) Furnished villas, flats and rooms let on a weekly basis;
e) (repealed) ;
f) (repealed)
g) Tourist offices within the meaning of articles L. 133-1 to L. 133-10 and L. 134-5 of the Tourism Code.
The decision to classify or approve these facilities or organisations is taken by order of the President of the Corsican Executive Council. “
