Article L5842-16 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

I. – The articles L. 5212-15 to L. 5212-17 are applicable in French Polynesia subject to the adaptations provided for in II and III.

II. – For the application of Article L. 5212-15, after the words “ordinary law” the words “insofar as they are applicable in French Polynesia” are added.

III. – For the application of in article L. 5212-17, the words: “of 6 January 1988, the date of publication of law no. 88-13 of 5 January 1988 improving decentralisation” are replaced by the words: “of the entry into force of order no. 2007-1434 of 5 October 2007 extending the first, second and fifth parts of the General Local Authorities Code to the communes of French Polynesia, their groupings and their public establishments”.

Article L5842-16

I. – Les articles L. 5212-15 à L. 5212-17 sont applicables en Polynésie française sous réserve des adaptations prévues aux II et III.

II. – Pour l’application de l’article L. 5212-15, après les mots : ” droit commun ” sont ajoutés les mots : ” dans la mesure où elles sont applicables en Polynésie française “.

III. – Pour l’application de l’article L. 5212-17, les mots : ” du 6 janvier 1988, date de la publication de la loi n° 88-13 du 5 janvier 1988 d’amélioration de la décentralisation ” sont remplacés par les mots : ” de l’entrée en vigueur de l’ordonnance n° 2007-1434 du 5 octobre 2007 portant extension des première, deuxième et cinquième parties du code général des collectivités territoriales aux communes de la Polynésie française, à leurs groupements et à leurs établissements publics “.
