Article 1056 of the French Code of civil procedure

The operative part of any decision ordered to be transcribed or entered in the civil status registers must state the forenames and surnames of the parties and, as the case may be, the place where the transcription is to be made or the places and dates of the records in the margin of which the entry is to be made.

Only the operative part of the decision is sent to the custodian of the civil status registers. The transcription and mention of the operative part are made immediately.
