Article 1174 of the French Code of civil procedure

The judgment is delivered in open court. Its operative part specifies whether it is a full adoption or a simple adoption and contains the particulars prescribed by article 1056. It also contains, where full adoption is granted pursuant to article 370-1-4 of the Civil Code, an indication of the forenames and surname of the spouse, partner bound by a civil solidarity pact or cohabitee in respect of whom the adopted person’s original filiation subsists.

Le jugement est prononcé en audience publique. Son dispositif précise s’il s’agit d’une adoption plénière ou d’une adoption simple et contient les mentions prescrites par l’article 1056. Il contient, en outre, lorsque l’adoption plénière est prononcée en application de l’article 370-1-4 du code civil, l’indication des prénoms et du nom du conjoint, du partenaire lié par un pacte civil de solidarité ou du concubin à l’égard duquel subsiste la filiation d’origine de l’adopté.
