Within fifteen days of the date on which it has become final, at the request of the public prosecutor:
1° The decision pronouncing the full adoption is transcribed into the civil status registers of the adopted person’s place of birth;
2° The decision granting a simple adoption is entered in the margin of the adopted person’s birth certificate;
Where the adopted person was born abroad, the decision is transcribed onto the registers of the central civil status department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the request of the public prosecutor.
In the case of full adoption, the decision is transcribed onto the registers of the central civil status department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the request of the public prosecutor.
In the event of a full adoption, the original birth certificate kept by a French civil registrar and, where applicable, the birth certificate drawn up pursuant to article 58 of the Civil Code are, at the request of the public prosecutor, endorsed with the word “adoption” and considered null and void.
