Article 1187-1 of the French Code of civil procedure

The children’s judge communicates to the family affairs judge or guardianship judge the documents they request when the parties to the proceedings before the latter are entitled to consult the file by virtue of article 1187. He may withhold certain documents where their production would pose a serious physical or moral danger to the minor, a party or a third party.

Under the conditions laid down in articles 1072-2,1180-11 et 1221-2, the family court judge or the guardianship judge shall send a copy of their decision to the children’s judge as well as any document that the latter deems useful.

Article 1187-1

Le juge des enfants communique au juge aux affaires familiales ou au juge des tutelles les pièces qu’ils sollicitent quand les parties à la procédure devant ces derniers ont qualité pour consulter le dossier en vertu de l’article 1187. Il peut ne pas transmettre certaines pièces lorsque leur production ferait courir un danger physique ou moral grave au mineur, à une partie ou à un tiers.

Dans les conditions prévues aux articles 1072-2,1180-11 et 1221-2, le juge aux affaires familiales ou le juge des tutelles transmettent copie de leur décision au juge des enfants ainsi que de toute pièce que ce dernier estime utile.
