Article 1190 of the French Code of civil procedure

The judge’s decisions are notified within eight days to the parents, guardian or person or service to whom the child has been entrusted, as well as to the minor’s counsel if one has been appointed.

The operative part of the decision is notified to the minor over the age of sixteen unless his or her condition does not allow it.

However, the decision excluding certain documents from the consultation pursuant to the fourth paragraph of Article 1187 shall be notified within eight days to the only party who requested it.

In all cases, notice of notification is given to the Public Prosecutor.

Article 1190

Les décisions du juge sont notifiées dans les huit jours aux parents, tuteur ou personne ou service à qui l’enfant a été confié, ainsi qu’au conseil du mineur s’il en a été désigné un.

Le dispositif de la décision est notifié au mineur de plus de seize ans à moins que son état ne le permette pas.

Toutefois, la décision écartant certaines pièces de la consultation en application du quatrième alinéa de l’article 1187 est notifiée dans les huit jours à la seule partie qui a demandé celle-ci.

Dans tous les cas, un avis de notification est donné au procureur de la République.
