Article 1205-1 of the French Code of civil procedure

When educational assistance proceedings have been initiated in respect of one or more children, the file shall be communicated to the court or judge by the children’s judge, under the conditions defined in article 1187-1. The Children’s Judge shall not transmit documents that he has excluded from consultation pursuant to Article 1187.

In all cases, the children’s judge makes his opinion known with regard to the educational assistance proceedings in progress.

A copy of the judge’s or court’s decision is sent to the children’s judge along with any documents that the latter considers useful

Article 1205-1

Lorsqu’une procédure d’assistance éducative a été diligentée à l’égard d’un ou plusieurs enfants, le dossier en est communiqué au tribunal ou au juge par le juge des enfants, dans les conditions définies à l’article 1187-1. Le juge des enfants ne transmet pas les pièces qu’il a exclues de la consultation en application de l’article 1187.


Dans tous les cas, le juge des enfants fait connaître son avis au regard de la procédure d’assistance éducative en cours.


Une copie de la décision du juge ou du tribunal est transmise au juge des enfants ainsi que toute pièce que ce dernier estime utile
