Article 1210-8 of the French Code of civil procedure

In order to determine the arrangements for enforcing the return order that are best suited to the circumstances of the case, the public prosecutor responsible for enforcing it may:

– enlist the services of any qualified person for the purpose of promoting the amicable enforcement of the order and determining the arrangements for the child’s return;

– request any qualified person to verify the material, family and social situation of the child who is the subject of the return order;

– arrange for any medical, psychiatric and psychological examination of the child that he or she considers necessary.

Afin de déterminer les modalités d’exécution de la décision de retour les plus adaptées aux circonstances de l’espèce, le procureur de la République chargé de son exécution peut :

– s’attacher les services de toute personne qualifiée aux fins de favoriser l’exécution amiable de la décision et de déterminer les modalités du retour de l’enfant ;

– requérir toute personne qualifiée afin de vérifier la situation matérielle, familiale et sociale de l’enfant faisant l’objet de la décision de retour ;

– faire procéder à tout examen médical, psychiatrique et psychologique de l’enfant qu’il estime nécessaire.
