Article 1220-2 of the French Code of civil procedure

The judge’s decision that there is no need to proceed with the hearing of the adult to be protected or protected pursuant to the second paragraph of article 432 or article 494-4 of the Civil Code is notified to the applicant and, where applicable, to the adult’s lawyer.

By the same decision, the judge orders that the adult of full age be informed of the proceedings initiated in a manner appropriate to his condition.

A mention is made in the file of the execution of this decision.

Article 1220-2

La décision du juge disant n’y avoir lieu à procéder à l’audition du majeur à protéger ou protégé en application du second alinéa de l’article 432 ou de l’article 494-4 du code civil est notifiée au requérant et, le cas échéant, à l’avocat du majeur.

Par la même décision, le juge ordonne qu’il soit donné connaissance de la procédure engagée au majeur selon des modalités appropriées à son état.

Il est fait mention au dossier de l’exécution de cette décision.
