This magistrate asks the person about his identity, receives his statements, after warning him that he is free not to make any, and asks him whether he consents to being transferred or whether he prefers to extend the effects of the warrant to bring him, while awaiting the decision of the examining magistrate hearing the case, at the place where he is. If the person declares that he or she opposes the transfer, he or she is taken to the prison and immediate notice is given to the competent investigating judge. The original or copy of the record of the appearance containing a full description shall be forwarded without delay to this magistrate, with all indications likely to facilitate recognition of identity.
This record must mention that the person has been notified that he or she is free not to make a statement.
