Article 1384 F of the French General Tax Code

I. – Communes and public establishments for inter-communal cooperation with their own tax status may, by a deliberation taken under the conditions provided for in Article 1639 A bis, exempt, for their share of property tax on built-up properties, for a period of five years, residential premises allocated to the principal dwelling and resulting from the conversion of premises mentioned in 1° of III of Article 231 ter.

This exemption applies from the year following that in which the conversion work is completed.

II. – In order to benefit from the exemption provided for in I of this article, the owner shall send to the tax department of the place where the property is located, before 1 January of the first year in respect of which the exemption is applicable, a declaration including all the details identifying the premises, a copy of the declaration provided for in article 1406 and all the information justifying that the conditions provided for in I of this article are met.

Article 1384 F

I. – Les communes et les établissements publics de coopération intercommunale à fiscalité propre peuvent, par une délibération prise dans les conditions prévues à l’article 1639 A bis, exonérer, pour la part de taxe foncière sur les propriétés bâties qui leur revient, pendant une durée de cinq ans, les locaux à usage d’habitation affectés à l’habitation principale et issus de la transformation de locaux mentionnés au 1° du III de l’article 231 ter.

Cette exonération s’applique à compter de l’année qui suit celle de l’achèvement des travaux de transformation.

II. – Pour bénéficier de l’exonération prévue au I du présent article, le propriétaire adresse au service des impôts du lieu de situation du bien, avant le 1er janvier de la première année au titre de laquelle l’exonération est applicable, une déclaration comprenant tous les éléments d’identification des locaux, une copie de la déclaration prévue à l’article 1406 et l’ensemble des éléments justifiant que les conditions prévues au I du présent article sont remplies.
