Article 141-5 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The police and gendarmerie units may, in accordance with the procedures set out in articles 56 to 58 and during the hours set out in Article 59, and after obtaining the agreement of the examining magistrate or on the instruction of this magistrate, carry out a search of the home of a person who, placed under judicial supervision or under house arrest with electronic surveillance, is prohibited from possessing a weapon, where there is serious or concordant evidence that weapons are currently in his home.

If weapons are discovered, they are seized and placed under seal.

Les services de police et les unités de gendarmerie peuvent, selon les modalités prévues aux articles 56 à 58 et pendant les heures prévues à l’article 59, et après avoir recueilli l’accord du juge d’instruction ou sur instruction de ce magistrat, procéder à une perquisition chez une personne qui, placée sous contrôle judiciaire ou sous assignation à résidence avec surveillance électronique, est soumise à l’interdiction de détenir une arme, lorsqu’il existe des indices graves ou concordants que des armes se trouvent actuellement à son domicile.

Si des armes sont découvertes, elles sont saisies et placées sous scellés.
