Article 1416 of the French Code of civil procedure

The opposition shall be lodged within one month of service of the order.

However, if service was not made personally, the opposition shall be admissible until the expiry of the period of one month following the first document served personally or, failing that, following the first enforcement measure having the effect of rendering all or part of the debtor’s assets unavailable.

L’opposition est formée dans le mois qui suit la signification de l’ordonnance.

Toutefois, si la signification n’a pas été faite à personne, l’opposition est recevable jusqu’à l’expiration du délai d’un mois suivant le premier acte signifié à personne ou, à défaut, suivant la première mesure d’exécution ayant pour effet de rendre indisponibles en tout ou partie les biens du débiteur.
