Article 1435 of the French Civil Code

If the use or reinvestment is made in advance, the property acquired is the community’s own, provided that the sums expected from the community’s own assets are paid to the community within five years of the date of the deed.

Si l’emploi ou le remploi est fait par anticipation, le bien acquis est propre, sous la condition que les sommes attendues du patrimoine propre soient payées à la communauté dans les cinq ans de la date de l’acte.
