Article 1569 of the French Code of civil procedure

The deed countersigned by lawyers and bearing the executory formula, or the decision of refusal by the registrar, shall be delivered or sent to the applicant by simple letter.

The duplicate of the application together with the copy of the deed and, where applicable, the decision of refusal by the registrar shall be kept at the registry.

L’acte contresigné par avocats et revêtu de la formule exécutoire, ou la décision de refus du greffier, est remis ou adressé au demandeur par lettre simple.

Le double de la demande ainsi que la copie de l’acte et, le cas échéant, la décision de refus du greffier sont conservés au greffe.
