Article 17-1 of the French Civil Code

New laws relating to the attribution of nationality of origin apply to persons who are still minors on the date of their entry into force, without prejudice to rights acquired by third parties and without the validity of acts previously passed being challenged on grounds of nationality.

The provisions of the preceding paragraph apply by way of interpretation, to laws on nationality of origin which were brought into force after the promulgation of Title I of the present code.

Article 17-1

Les lois nouvelles relatives à l’attribution de la nationalité d’origine s’appliquent aux personnes encore mineures à la date de leur entrée en vigueur, sans préjudicier aux droits acquis par des tiers et sans que la validité des actes passés antérieurement puisse être contestée pour cause de nationalité.

Les dispositions de l’alinéa précédent s’appliquent à titre interprétatif, aux lois sur la nationalité d’origine qui ont été mises en vigueur après la promulgation du titre Ier du présent code.
