These two kinds of hire are further subdivided into several particular species:
“Lease to rent” is called the hire of houses and that of furniture;
“Farm lease”, that of rural hereditaments;
“Rent”, the hire of labour or service;
“Livestock lease”, that of animals, the profit of which is shared between the owner and the person to whom he entrusts them.
Estimates, contracts or prices made, for the undertaking of a work in return for a fixed price, are also a hire, when the material is supplied by the person for whom the work is done.
These last three species have special rules.
