Article 182 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Partial dismissal orders may be issued during the course of the investigation.

Partial referral orders or partial transmission orders may be issued under the same conditions when, in respect of one or more of the facts referred to the investigating judge, the charges brought appear sufficient.

Persons who have been the subject of a partial referral order or partial transmission order and who do not remain under investigation for other facts are heard as assisted witnesses. The same applies in the event of the severance of an investigation.

Article 182
