Article 1840 B of the French General Tax Code

Any public or ministerial officer transferring or assigning an office who is found to have agreed or stipulated for his benefit a price higher than that expressed in the deed of assignment shall be subject to dismissal.

L’officier public ou ministériel cessionnaire ou cédant d’un office convaincu d’avoir consenti ou stipulé à son profit un prix supérieur à celui exprimé dans l’acte de cession est frappé de destitution.
