Article 186-5 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The time limits relating to the length of pre-trial detention provided for in articles 145-1 to 145-3 are no longer applicable once the investigating judge has issued his order for referral to the trial court, even if an appeal has been lodged against this order.

Les délais relatifs à la durée de la détention provisoire prévus aux articles 145-1 à 145-3 ne sont plus applicables lorsque le juge d’instruction a rendu son ordonnance de renvoi devant la juridiction de jugement, même en cas d’appel formé contre cette ordonnance.
