Article 1873-11 of the French Civil Code

Each undivided co-owner is required to contribute to the expenses of conserving the undivided property. In the absence of a specific agreement, the articles 815-9,815-10 and 815-11 of this code are applicable to the exercise of the right of use and enjoyment, as well as to the distribution of profits and losses.

Chaque indivisaire peut exiger la communication de tous les documents relatifs à la gestion. Le gérant doit, une fois par an, rendre compte de sa gestion aux indivisaires. A cette occasion, il indique par écrit les bénéfices réalisés et les pertes encourues ou prévisibles.

Chaque indivisaire est tenu de participer aux dépenses de conservation des biens indivis. A défaut d’accord particulier, les articles 815-9,815-10 et 815-11 du présent code sont applicables à l’exercice du droit d’usage et de jouissance, ainsi qu’à la répartition des bénéfices et des pertes.
