Article 1936 of the French Civil Code

If the thing deposited has produced fruits which have been received by the depositary, he is obliged to return them. He owes no interest on the money deposited, except from the day on which he was put on notice to make restitution.

Si la chose déposée a produit des fruits qui aient été perçus par le dépositaire, il est obligé de les restituer. Il ne doit aucun intérêt de l’argent déposé, si ce n’est du jour où il a été mis en demeure de faire la restitution.
