Article 2030 of the French Civil Code

When the trust contract terminates in the absence of a beneficiary, the rights, property or securities present in the trust patrimony revert ipso jure to the settlor.

When it terminates through the death of the settlor, the trust patrimony reverts ipso jure to the estate.

Lorsque le contrat de fiducie prend fin en l’absence de bénéficiaire, les droits, biens ou sûretés présents dans le patrimoine fiduciaire font de plein droit retour au constituant.

Lorsqu’il prend fin par le décès du constituant, le patrimoine fiduciaire fait de plein droit retour à la succession.
