Article 211-88 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Works that meet the following conditions are eligible for direct subsidies for the creation of digital subtitling and audio description files:
1° Be French-initiated;
2° Have given rise to the issue of production approval during the calendar year preceding that in which the direct subsidies are calculated in accordance with article 211-93;
3° Have a final production cost less than or equal to €4,000,000 for cinematographic works belonging to the fiction and documentary genres and €8,000,000 for cinematographic works belonging to the animation genre.

Article 211-88

Sont éligibles aux allocations directes à la création de fichiers numériques de sous-titrage et d’audiodescription, les œuvres qui répondent aux conditions suivantes :
1° Etre d’initiative française ;
2° Avoir donné lieu à la délivrance de l’agrément de production au cours de l’année civile précédent celle au cours de laquelle les allocations directes sont calculées conformément à l’article 211-93 ;
3° Avoir un coût définitif de production inférieur ou égal à 4 000 000 € pour les œuvres cinématographiques appartenant aux genres fiction et documentaire et à 8 000 000 € pour les œuvres cinématographiques appartenant au genre animation.
