Article 211-93 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Direct allocations are calculated each year according to the amount of appropriations allocated to them.
For each beneficiary production company, the amount of the direct allocation is equal to the ratio between the amount of the aforementioned appropriations and the number of works which, at 31 December of the previous calendar year, met the conditions for receiving a direct allocation.

Les allocations directes sont calculées, chaque année, en fonction du montant des crédits qui leur sont affectés.
Pour chaque entreprise de production bénéficiaire, le montant de l’allocation directe est égal au rapport entre le montant des crédits précités et le nombre d’œuvres qui, au 31 décembre de l’année civile précédente, répondent aux conditions permettant de bénéficier d’une allocation directe.
