Article 216 of the French Code of civil procedure

Unless they have been permitted or directed to withdraw after giving evidence, witnesses shall remain at the disposal of the judge until the close of the enquiry or the hearing. They may, until that time, make additions or changes to their evidence.

A moins qu’il ne leur ait été permis ou enjoint de se retirer après avoir déposé, les témoins restent à la disposition du juge jusqu’à la clôture de l’enquête ou des débats. Ils peuvent, jusqu’à ce moment, apporter des additions ou des changements à leur déposition.
