Article 223-21 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The aid is awarded in the form of a grant.
The aid is the subject of an agreement signed with the distribution company.
This agreement may include commitments by the distribution company concerning the exhibition of the works in cinemas, particularly with regard to their circulation throughout France and the type of cinemas in which they are shown.
For the allocation of aid for an annual distribution programme, the agreement provides for the possibility, in the light of the actual implementation of the programme, of modifying its composition or adjusting the amount of aid. In this case, the Commission des aides à la distribution cinématographique is consulted for its opinion.

Article 223-21
