Article 223-26 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Structural grants are awarded to distribution companies that:
1° Regularly distribute new or repertory works. Companies that have distributed at least three cinematographic works during each of the two years preceding the application and that undertake to maintain this activity for the following year for at least three cinematographic works are considered to have regular distribution of previously unreleased works. Companies that have distributed at least three repertory cinematographic works during each of the two years preceding the application are deemed to have regular distribution of repertory cinematographic works. However, the six cinematographic works may be exceptionally spread over these two years;
2° Have submitted an application for aid for a specific work for at least three cinematographic works during each of the two years preceding the application and have received aid for at least half of these works during the two years preceding this application;
3° Personally manage relations with cinema exhibitors for the programming of the cinematographic works they distribute.

Article 223-26

Les aides à la structure sont attribuées à des entreprises de distribution qui :
1° Ont une activité régulière de distribution d’œuvres inédites ou d’œuvres de répertoire. Sont considérées comme ayant une activité régulière de distribution d’œuvres inédites les entreprises qui ont distribué au moins trois œuvres cinématographiques au cours de chacune des deux années précédant la demande et qui s’engagent à maintenir cette activité pour l’année suivante pour au moins trois œuvres cinématographiques. Sont considérées comme ayant une activité régulière de distribution d’œuvres cinématographiques de répertoire les entreprises ayant distribué au moins trois œuvres cinématographiques de répertoire au cours de chacune des deux années précédant la demande. Toutefois, il peut être dérogé à titre exceptionnel à la répartition des six œuvres cinématographiques sur ces deux années ;
2° Ont présenté une demande d’aide au titre d’une œuvre déterminée pour au moins trois œuvres cinématographiques au cours de chacune des deux années précédant la demande et ont bénéficié de l’aide pour au moins la moitié de ces œuvres, au cours des deux années précédant cette demande ;
3° Assurent personnellement la relation avec les exploitants d’établissements de spectacles cinématographiques pour la programmation des œuvres cinématographiques qu’elles distribuent.
