Structural grants are awarded on the basis of :
1° The number and quality of cinematographic works actually distributed by the distribution companies during the previous year, the forecast distribution activity for the current year, the characteristics of the cinematographic theatres chosen for the representation of the works, the quality of the editorial line, as well as compliance with the commitments made in the aid agreement for the allocation of previous aid;
2° The size of the company;
3° The company’s structural costs;
4° The financial situation of the company, in particular its cash flow situation, the level of its equity capital and its economic prospects;
5° The proportion of release plans for arthouse cinematographic works actually distributed by the company in at least 175 cinematographic establishments during the year preceding the application, devoted to establishments located in urban units of less than 50,000 inhabitants and communes not belonging to an urban unit, with regard to the following reference proportions:
– 17% for arthouse cinematographic works shown in 175 to 250 cinemas at the time of their national release;
– 25% for arthouse cinematographic works shown in more than 250 cinemas at the time of their national release.
