Article 420-2 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The decision rendered on the claim for restitution of seized objects or for damages presented in accordance with the provisions of article 420-1 has all the effects of an adversarial decision; it is served on the civil party by bailiff in accordance with the provisions of articles 550 et seq.

Article 420-2

La décision rendue sur la demande de restitution d’objets saisis ou de dommages-intérêts présentée conformément aux dispositions de l’article 420-1 produit tous les effets d’une décision contradictoire ; elle est signifiée à la partie civile par exploit d’huissier conformément aux dispositions des articles 550 et suivants.
