Article 445 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Witnesses must, at the request of the president, state their surname, first names, age, occupation and place of residence, whether they are related or related by marriage to the accused, the person civilly liable or the civil party and whether they are in their service.

Where applicable, the president will ask them to specify what relations they have or have had, with the accused, the person civilly liable, or the civil party.

Les témoins doivent, sur la demande du président, faire connaître leurs nom, prénoms, âge, profession et domicile, s’ils sont parents ou alliés du prévenu, de la personne civilement responsable ou de la partie civile et s’ils sont à leur service.
