Article 507-2 of the French Civil Code

In the event that the estate renounced in the name of the protected person has not been accepted by another heir and as long as the State has not been sent into possession, the renunciation may be revoked either by the tutor authorised for this purpose by a new deliberation of the family council or, failing this, a new decision of the judge, or by the protected person who has become capable. The second paragraph of article 807 is applicable.

Dans le cas où la succession à laquelle il a été renoncé au nom de la personne protégée n’a pas été acceptée par un autre héritier et tant que l’Etat n’a pas été envoyé en possession, la renonciation peut être révoquée soit par le tuteur autorisé à cet effet par une nouvelle délibération du conseil de famille ou, à défaut, une nouvelle décision du juge, soit par la personne protégée devenue capable. Le second alinéa de l’article 807 est applicable.
