Article 564 of the French Civil Code

Pigeons, rabbits, fish, which pass into another dovecote, rabbit warren or body of water referred to in articles L. 431-6 and L. 431-7 of the Environment Code belong to their owner, provided they have not been lured there by fraud or artifice.

Les pigeons, lapins, poissons, qui passent dans un autre colombier, garenne ou plan d’eau visé aux articles L. 431-6 et L. 431-7 du code de l’environnement appartiennent au propriétaire de ces derniers, pourvu qu’ils n’y aient point été attirés par fraude et artifice.
