Article 585 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

After the expiry of this period, the plaintiff who has been convicted of a criminal offence may send his statement of case directly to the registry of the Cour de cassation; the other parties may not avail themselves of the benefit of this provision without the assistance of a lawyer at the Cour de cassation.

In all cases, the pleading must be accompanied by as many copies as there are parties involved.

Après l’expiration de ce délai, le demandeur condamné pénalement peut transmettre son mémoire directement au greffe de la Cour de cassation ; les autres parties ne peuvent user du bénéfice de la présente disposition sans le ministère d’un avocat à la Cour de cassation.

Dans tous les cas, le mémoire doit être accompagné d’autant de copies qu’il y a de parties en cause.
