When objects that are the medium of computer data have been placed under seal, the public prosecutor or the judicial police officer or, under the latter’s supervision, the judicial police officer or the investigation assistant may, by any means, request any qualified person registered on one of the lists provided for in article 157 or who has sworn the oath provided for in Article 60 to open the seals in order to make one or more copies of this data or to carry out the technical operations required to make it available to the judicial police officer, in order to allow it to be used without damaging its integrity. The requested party shall mention the operations carried out in a report drawn up in accordance with the articles 163 et 166.
The operations mentioned in the first paragraph of this article may be carried out by the technical and forensic police services or bodies of the national police and the national gendarmerie under the conditions set out in the second and third paragraphs of article 60.
