Article 615 of the French Code of civil procedure

In the case of indivisibility with regard to several parties the appeal of one party has effect with regard to the others even if they are not joined in the cassation proceedings.

In the same case, the appeal lodged against one is admissible only if all are called to the proceedings.

En cas d’indivisibilité à l’égard de plusieurs parties le pourvoi de l’une produit effet à l’égard des autres même si celles-ci ne sont pas jointes à l’instance de cassation.

Dans le même cas, le pourvoi formé contre l’une n’est recevable que si toutes sont appelées à l’instance.
