Article 617 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The judgment which has dismissed the application for judicial review, or has pronounced the judicial review without referral, shall be delivered, within three days, to the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, by extract signed by the court clerk, which extract shall be sent to the magistrate in charge of the public prosecution at the Court or tribunal which handed down the contested judgment or ruling.

It shall be notified to the parties, at that magistrate’s request, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.

Article 617

L’arrêt qui a rejeté la demande en cassation, ou a prononcé la cassation sans renvoi, est délivré, dans les trois jours, au procureur général près la Cour de cassation, par extrait signé du greffier, lequel extrait est adressé au magistrat chargé du ministère public près la Cour ou le tribunal qui a rendu l’arrêt ou le jugement attaqué.

Il est notifié aux parties, à la diligence de ce magistrat, par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception.
