Article 627-13 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where the court requests an extension of the conditions of surrender granted by the French authorities, the request shall be forwarded to the competent authorities pursuant to Article 87 of the Statute, who shall forward it, together with all supporting documents and any observations of the person concerned, to the Investigating Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal.

If, in the light of the documents in question and, where applicable, the explanations of the person’s lawyer, the Investigating Chamber finds that there is no obvious error, it authorises the requested extension.

Article 627-13
