Article 63-4-5 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

If the victim is confronted with a person in police custody, they may also ask to be assisted by a lawyer chosen by them or by their legal representative if they are a minor or, at their request, appointed by the President of the Bar.

The victim is informed of this right before the confrontation takes place.

At his request, the lawyer may consult the minutes of the hearing of the person he is assisting.

Article 63-4-3 shall apply.

Si la victime est confrontée avec une personne gardée à vue, elle peut demander à être également assistée par un avocat choisi par elle ou par son représentant légal si elle est mineure ou, à sa demande, désigné par le bâtonnier.

La victime est informée de ce droit avant qu’il soit procédé à la confrontation.

A sa demande, l’avocat peut consulter les procès-verbaux d’audition de la personne qu’il assiste.

L’article 63-4-3 est applicable.
