Article 663 of the French Code of civil procedure

The originals of the judicial officer’s documents must mention the formalities and steps to which the application of the provisions of this section gives rise, with an indication of their dates. In the case of service by electronic means made to a person, they shall mention the date and time when the addressee of the document became aware of it.

Where service has not been effected personally, the original of the document must state the name and capacity of the person to whom the copy has been left. The same applies in the case provided for in Article 654 (paragraph 2).

Les originaux des actes d’huissier de justice doivent porter mention des formalités et diligences auxquelles donne lieu l’application des dispositions de la présente section, avec l’indication de leurs dates. En cas de signification par voie électronique faite à personne, ils mentionnent les date et heure auxquelles le destinataire de l’acte en a pris connaissance.

Lorsque la signification n’a pas été faite à personne, l’original de l’acte doit préciser les nom et qualité de la personne à laquelle la copie a été laissée. Il en est de même dans le cas prévu à l’article 654 (alinéa 2).
