Article 688-8 of the French Code of civil procedure

The execution of a request for service may be refused by the French authority if it is likely to prejudice the sovereignty or security of the State. It may also be refused if the request is not made in accordance with the provisions of this code.

Article 688-8

L’exécution d’une demande de notification ou de signification peut être refusée par l’autorité française si elle est de nature à porter atteinte à la souveraineté ou à la sécurité de l’Etat. Elle peut également être refusée si la demande n’est pas présentée conformément aux dispositions du présent code.
